5 Months..Through Stella's eyes

Biting my lower lip so my teeth don't bug me as they try to poke through.
Shhh...don't tell Daddy! I snuck a taste of his beer, afterall it is called Stella!
Showing a little leg. It finally got above 60 the other day.
Could I be a lefty? Trying to feed myself after a good dinner.
Entertaining myself in my favorite toy.
Spending the afternoon with my friend Ruthie. I watch everything she does.
Sharing my toys with Ruthie.
Playing cards with mom and dad.
Going for a walk with mommy like a big girl..facing forward.
Helping daddy with the dishes...I love the running water.

Stay tuned...I'll have to fill you in on my time with Grandma and sweet potatoes (mom says they're coming soon.)

Love Bug & Style

Happy Valentines Day!
Yes, Stella is wearing a mini-jean skirt with leggings..how cute is that! And guess who got her this cute Valentine's outfit...her Papa Hart.
Thanks for the outfit Papa...as you can tell I love it!
All smiles. My mom said my dad wanted to pick out an outfit because I always call her and tell her thanks, so he wanted to pick the entire outfit out so I (and Stella) knew he helps pick out treats for her! I think he did a great job and Stella agrees.
I've said it before, BUT this girl LOVES BUGS. The huge pink and red bug is her Valentine treat from her daddy and as you can tell from the pictures she is quite a fan. But love this pic I just took of her while she was napping. I just put her down, but I could tell she was still in the play-mode so I tossed in a couple toys and of course, out of all her options she fell asleep kissing a BUG. I have a feeling she will be bringing bugs into the house a lot when she's older!

Date Night & Valentine Treats

Stella playing in her exersaucer before we left on our DATE! Thank you Grammie and Grandpa for watching Stella so we could enjoy an evening together.
But before we could leave Stella grabbed a cat nap with daddy...she was conked out and we hated to wake her, but we had dinner reservations to get to.
Stella and her mommy (me) are very spoiled. The roses are from Tom and the other arrangement is from my dad/papa. He told me the flowers were for me, but the balloon was for Stella from her Papa (how cute!!)! And of course Stella has a card from every grandma...including her Great Grandparents in Oregon.
This outfit is from her Grammie for Valentines day...you gotta love the bow!
It might not have been Valentines Day, but the night before was just as good (if not better to avoid crowds) to get out on a date. Stella sported her new outfit and entertained Grammie and Grandpa while we enjoyed a LOT of seafood at a local restaurant. But at the end of the night we were ready to see our munchkin again!

Happy Birthday Aunt Lori

Thursday was Aunt Lori's birthday so we all got together at Copelands for some yummy food!

Sometimes I think Stella looks like her Aunt.

Hanging out with Grandpa so mommy can get a couple bites of food!

Showering Andrea & Meeting Owen

This past weekend Stella and I loaded up the car and headed to Little Rock for a shower honoring Andrea and Reed(he'll be here in April). As always it was great to see the LR girls and hang out with them. It was a quick trip, but I wouldn't miss this for the world. Andrea is the one who started all of the wonderful showers...she is the queen of showers and loving on others, so to have the chance to do the same for her was unquestionable. Andrea looks great and there's no doubt Reed is ready to roll. We love you Andrea, Josh and Reed!

The whole gang. Andrea looks fantastic!
For those of you who know Andrea...know this is a funny pic. Andrea always wraps the lids to her packages and warns us not to rip it, well Lauren did the same for her and look. I love this look on Andrea's face. Below is a pic of Andrea looking at the scrapbook the hostesses made for her...Andrea (by herself) has made each of us one. It's hard to believe but this is her FIRST album for herself!
We surprised her with her BOB stroller...pure shock...
then the waterworks...gotta love pregnancy hormones!
Miss Stella passed out during all the excitement.
And you will notice this is a new outfit. Ifyou're a mom you know that means there was a blow out. Thankfully I brought another outfit, but as you can see Stella's new friend Owen doesn't mind.
We've been dying to meet Owen and we finally got the chance. He is adorable and oh so sweet. He and Stella were kind of trying to hold hands so we'll see what the future holds. However, there daddy's have very different opinions about sports, so it might not work out.

4 Months:Rolling Over & Rice Cereal

Daddy trying to get her 3-D glasses on her.
Stella still LOVES her bugs!
Here we go...the doctor gave us the go-ahead. Trying rice cereal for the first time. As you can tell she wasn't sure at first.

Still not sure...but no tears!

Getting into the groove and looking at her daddy for reassurance.
Going for more.
And finally! Rice cereal is a success. She never threw a fit or anything. She is actually a fan of the cereal and eats a healthy portion every night.
Now for another first...the day before turning 4 months...Stella rolled over for the 1st time!
Here she is trying. I didn't get the full deal because I was too excited watching her do it.
She doesn't rollover a lot, but she tries all the time and wavers on her side the most.
I had to include this picture because I thought it was cute. Doesn't it look like I've caught her in the act (I don't know what, but she looks suspicious!).

So we had our 4 month check up and Stella is right on track.

Her stats:
weight 13 pounds 11 ounces...60 percentile
length 24 and 3/4 inches long...70 percentile

The doctor says she looks great. Pretty soon we'll be introducing new foods, but for some reason I'm a little timid. She is getting a little better at taking the bottle...mostly at daycare.
We are loving every minute of our time with Stella. She is smiling and talking to us more. And YES she is sleeping through the night. It's usually 9-12 hours a night...I'm not complaining.
I hope to post more pictures soon...sorry for my tardiness, I'm just trying to get in the swing of things following the recent ice storm!
