Emme and Mommy Time
When Stella was little I used to take her to the library for Baby Bookworms. It's a cute little story/music time at our local library a couple times a week. Well, I haven't had much of a chance to take Emerson yet because of her nap schedule. So, now that's she's kind of giving up her early nap and Stella's at school Mondays...Emme and I have a little one on one time at the library.
The first time we went she was mesmerized by Miss Shea. She just stood there and watched her every move. Now, Em is Miss Social and couldn't care less if I was there or not. She is on the go and wants to do her own thing. Some days she super tired, but most of the time she meets new friends and just dances during the music.
I'm thankful to have this time with just me and E. I guess it's better than grocery shopping, right?!?

#3...Coming SOON
If you look closely Stella and Emerson had some exciting news to share with Grammie and Papa today at lunch. Stella colored this shirt this weekend and we added the exciting news. It said Biggest Sister...#3 Coming soon!
To say that Grammie and Papa were surprised is an understatement. Uncle Julian and Aunt Lori weren't there but when they got the text of this picture they were thrilled about the BIG news!
Stella was a little embarrassed about all the commotion, but I just love Tom's proud daddy smile. It was a great reaction all around.
APRIL FOOLS!
This was ALL Tom's doing. We are NOT expecting! We love our little family, but of course the family prankster had to trick someone today and his parents were the target. We all had a good laugh.

Spring Break
Last week was our spring break. And while it doesn't change things much around our house..just no school Monday and Wednesday for Stella and no dance, I thought I had to make the week extra fun. Well, after looking at the pictures I took it looks like all Stella did was eat, but I promise you we did more than that :)
We tried new things..I bought Stella a snack of Nutella since I've heard raving reviews. Well, she loved it! I tried it and quite honestly I don't know all the hype, but that's just my opinion.
Despite this smile, Emerson was kind of a bear this past week (I blame teeth), but anyway we tried the teething necklace. I don't know what I think of it.
These poor girls wanted to play outside so badly, but of course it was a pretty wet forecast, so we did a lot of coloring (no pictures sorry).
We made sweet treats. Stella loved putting the M&M's on top.
We escaped and joined up with some friends for a little play date. These little ones watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse like they'd never seen it before. Ha!
We stuffed our face with a yummy cupcake from sweet friends right before bed...perfect bedtime snack, right? IT'S SPRING BREAK!
Of course we dressed up like a princess so we could read about princesses!
And when the sun finally came out, we jumped at the chance to play outside.
YES, Stella loves this yellow polka dot dress and requests it almost everyday so if it's clean she's wearing it. I'm sure there will be many more posts with her sporting this dress.
Friday we had a blast at a tea party with some friends, but that will get it's own post. So on Sunday our little family topped off spring break with a trip out for frozen yogurt or ice cream as Stella insist it is. It was super fun!

13 Months..What you Love
Miss Emerson, at 13 months you are keeping us on our toes. Yes, you are eating crumbs from your sisters chair here. I dont' know blame you...she just finished a Pioneer Women Cinnamon muffin.
Now that you're a fulltime walker..you LOVE to climb
Lord help us! I wish I could catch the look she normally gives me when I say no.
You love to go into your sisters room and drag out her clothes. I mean love it. I hope this isn't a look inot the future teenage years. For some reason I don't think Stella will be as generous then :)
Loving your baby.
Always on the go. You love being outside too. As soon as we open the door you're on the move.
This month has been a busy one for you Miss E. You started walking and continue to master the skill daily. You're working on 4 upper teeth, but still only have two on the bottom.
You're still a little peanut. I don't think you've reached 19 pounds yet. You're wearing 9-12 month clothing, size 2 shoe, and size 3 diaper.
You eat like a champ and love your sippy. You are a carb girl for sure :)
You usually sleep from 7pm-630am. I think you're in the process of dropping a nap, but on some days you still take two about an hour to two hours each.
You continue to amaze us each day and we can't wait to see what the future holds!
Love you Emerson Kate.

Lately...
We've been meeting new friends. Emerson so so excited to play with Boothe. I think she may have a little crush.
We've busted out the bubbles in this awesome weather.
We've been WALKING everywhere. I'm still getting used to her rounding the corner walking.
We've been celebrating sweet friends birthdays. I barely took any pictures at Cilla's bday, but her mommy did an amazing job.
We've been sliding...
and sliding. Emerson would do this all day if we let her.
Hope you've been enjoying the weather lately. I'm still in denial that winter is almost over. I feel like we didn't even get one this year.

Little String Bean: 12 Month Stats
This Hog Wild,
Blue eyed,
Two teeth,
Into everything ONE year old is our little string bean!
We took Emerson for her 12 month check up this week and she's doing great for her age. The doctor was happy with her development and all her "stats."
Stats:
weight: 18 pounds 9.5 ounces...10th percentile
height: 29.69 inches long..75th percentile
head: 50th percentile
No matter what her measurements we just adore her and LOVE every inch of her sweetness.
