Fancy Nancy

If you haven't read these books they are super cute. Stella has fallen in love with this book -- GaGa read it to her over and over while she was here and she just can't get enough of it!

But let me just say I am NOT Fancy...at all. I'm a tennis shoe, tshirt, jeans kind of girl. I don't mind wearing hats and leaving the house without makeup (I know, gasp). However, I believe Stella is FANCY. She loves her sunglasses, cute little hats (not baseball hats), shoes--oh my goodness she loves shoes, etc...etc. So I'm preparing myself for "fancy" parties. Like I mentioned earlier she loves tea parties right now too. Don't get me wrong Stella likes to be outside and get dirty, but she has such a girlie side and I'm just eating up right now.
So thanks Fancy Nancy...because Stella is so cute when she reads your book!

And maybe Nancy will inspire me to be a little more fancy -- ha!

Build a Bunny

Ok, if you know my dad, aka Papa, then you might know that he thinks Build a Bear is the greatest thing ever. He has talked to us about Build a Bear before my brother or I were even thinking about having kids. He took my nephew there when he was two and Hunter wasn't totally into it, but he liked it. So today we were at the mall and just passed by it. We had NO intentions of actually building a bear, but we wanted to take Stella in and look. MY GOODNESS...she pratically jumped out of her stroller.

Here she is showing off her new "smile" and the chick and of course, bunny she liked. She wanted nothing to do with the bears. It took her awhile to decide between the chick or bunny.

In the end she picked the bunny...hard to believe I know :)

Here she is waiting for the lady to fill her bunny...she was not fond of the sound the machine made.

But she had a blast putting a heart in her bunny!

And of course, every bunny needs an outfit. So here they are getting Button all decked out.

As you can see she is very attached to her bunny.

So, we thought she wouldn't be quite old enough to enjoy Build a "bunny" but we were wrong.

PS--later that afternoon she took Button to her nap with her and we could hear her on the monitor just talking away to her new friend!

I'm sure this will not be our last trip to build a bear.

Tea Party

Stella has a couple tea sets, but this week she took a big interest in them. She looked to my mom, GaGa, for directions on what to do with all the little cups.

Stella was very good at making sure all the little parts were in the right place!
We have had a lot of tea the past couple days!!! So if you're at our house anytime soon come ready for some tea!

Something to BLOG About!

If you don't already know I'm starting a new adventure and I hope you'll join in the fun!!!!

You might be wondering why Stella has lights beaming down on her and why she is eating in the middle of our kitchen.

Well, I'm working on a special project for my old station KNWA. Starting in April I will be hosting a blog for them called SOMETHING TO BLOG ABOUT. And I'll need your help...we'll hit all the hot topics from recipes to food to kids to daily struggles to Hollywood. So please when it launches be sure to follow us because I'm just like the facilitator so I'll need your feedback and ideas. Oh and I hear there should be GREAT giveaways!

So today a crew came over to our house to shoot a promo. Stella was a big hit and enjoyed the attention. They're coming back later this week to shoot some other bloggers with their kids and doing what they like to do on blogs. Oh yeah, my poor parents were wrangled into a couple shots too since they were here at the time :)
Ha!

I am a bit nervous about this little adventure. I don't claim to be an amazing blogger...I blog so my family can keep up with Stella, so I'm hoping my journalism background will come in handy when updating the KNWA Today blog!

"Baby" Dedication

Yes, I know Stella is not a baby anymore,but this is the first time ALL her grandparents were in Fayetteville since she was born so we did her baby dedication this weekend.

She did great and pointed to her grandparents while she was up front. It is very special to know that our church family will pray for our little one as we try to raise her the best way we know how!

Then of course the fam gathered for a yummy brunch at our house--we had a ton of food!

Stella is one loved girl!!!!

Birthday Fun and First Hog Basketball Game

Stella's sweet friend, Amelia, turned one and of course Stella was there to help celebrate.

Amelia wasn't sure of the cake...ok, she hated it. I just thought this picture was too cute not to include.

After celebrating with Amelia we headed to the Hog game. Tom had to work for a little bit so we joined in the action.

Stella really watched the game and kept pointing at the ball.

She also loved watching the cheerleaders.
It was a fun family outing and we hope to take her to more games next year!
