Too Cool

This evening Stella and I decided to water the flowers and play outside for a few minutes. It is ridiculously hot out so it didn't last long, but Stella sported her new glasses. Yes, I know her is hair is out of control (but I didn't re-do it after naptime) and I know she has food on her face...she really enjoyed her berries and dinner and wouldn't let me wipe her face.
Hope you're having a great weekend and staying cool!

Take Me Out to The Ballgame

While my parents were in town we headed to the ballpark to see Tom do his thing. My dad has never seen him in action and wanted to catch a Naturals game. He did a great job!
Stella was very busy enjoying drinks and snacks.
Stella and my dad shared a sno cone and thought it was so funny how red their mouths got.

It wasn't long until Stella was feeding her Papa.

Then of course, Stella showed off her skills and ran the bases with daddy and Papa.

Her little legs work so hard.

Rounding the corner for home.

I think everyone had a great time. It was hot and muggy, but Stella was happy to entertain her Papa and Gaga.

Happy 22 Months

I don't know why these are so small, but I think they're cute so I'm still using them.
STELLA I can't BELIEVE you're already 22 months...you're almost 2!
You are so super fun. You talk all the time and can say anything we say or at least you give it your best try.
We think you're going through a growth spurt because you are eating like crazy.
You still take one afternoon nap and usually sleep 1 t0 2.5 hours. You go to bed at 8 every night and wake up just after 7.
You are so sweet and love to tease us with your big hugs and kisses. You worry about other kids when they're crying. You get so excited when daddy gets home from work and LOVE to run in circles through the living room and kitchen with him.
You are VERY independent and would rather do it yourself if possible. You love to swim, but don't want us to hold onto you. You love to jump and dance. You're favorite show is definitely Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You are in a BIG Mickey stage and love all things Mickey.
We can't believe that your 2nd birthday is just around the corner. We're thinking Mickey theme, but we'll see.
We love you sweet girl!

We're Still Celebrating

My parents are still in town and we just can't stop celebrating another baby is on the way, so we went to Tom's parents for a little dinner and dessert. It was super fun. Of course, our little fishy had to show off her skills.
Blowing bubbles with Papa with her new "horsey"

I bought Stella these wings awhile ago, but this was her first time to try them out. She loved that there were turtles on them.

Not quite sure she should take the leap.

Stella LOVED doing it by herself! Loved it. She is very independent.

VERY proud of herself.

And we ended the night with this CUTE cake Grammie got for everyone. Isn't it adorable. Rick's at its finest, of course.

It said Congratulations Tom, Sydney & Stella (on top) then around the side it said and Papa, Gaga, Grammie, Other Papa, Uncle Julian and Aunt Lori.
It was super cute and oh so yummy!!!
My dad pointed out that the blue booties on the cake were bigger so the baby is probably a boy...that's what most people are thinking. I, on the other hand, have NO idea.

Pizza, Brownies, and BABY

Tonight we had pizza and brownies at our house with BOTH set of Stella's grandparents. It's a rare treat and we were very excited to host our families. It was a great time! The pictures say it all. My dad is super excited about the night...look at the shock on his face...
Tom's dad is as happy as can be...

Tom's mom was just as excited! I didn't get a good picture of my mom, but you're probably wondering why this pizza was such a big deal. I make good brownies, but lets face it they're from the box so there's no secret recipe....

My mom was so excited she got down to give Stella a big hug...I know you can't see it, but her shirt says "I'M THE BIG SISTER." We shocked them. The pictures above prove that!

Stella didn't know why everyone was looking at her and screaming in joy.

I know I didn't get the entire shirt, but it was kind of exciting around the house. Stella will be a big sister. We're due in February, so I'm about 10 weeks now.
We're praying for a healthy baby and a smooth delivery.
Here's to our next adventure in life!

MEDICINE!

Stella LOVES her watermelon. And she knows how to say watermelon very well, BUT
this juicy goodness must taste like some kind of medicine she's taken in the past because...

when she sees it she yells for her medicine and gets really excited! It's so funny how their little minds work. I don't remember medicine tasting that good!

Watering the Flowers

It is so stinken hot right now in Arkansas that our poor flowers are just dying of thirst all the time, so Stella and I ventured out back this evening to help the flowers out. Well, Stella was hot too...so she enjoyed getting sprayed.

She thought it was so funny to get wet while "driving."

I think she was hinting that I fill up her pool. Maybe next time.

If this heat sticks around we'll be playing in the water a lot more and next time I might spray myself, ha!

4th of July

In Yazwinski tradition we spent the 4th at Arvest ballpark for some baseball and fireworks. Stella enjoyed ice cream and nachos while we watched the game...she's being silly here wiping her face.
She's excited the game is finally over and daddy can come sit with us as we get ready for the big firework show!
In awe of the first blasts.

She was clapping at one point.
The firework show was about 20 minutes so she started to get tired at the end...but she her eyes were still glued to the show.

Out of the last 3 years I think this one topped them all...it was amazing. I love when fireworks are choreographed with patriotic music...LOVE IT.

After the show, Stella got a second wind and ran the bases with her daddy. Of course I didn't have our good camera, so I'm sorry for the lack of zoom. Tom said she was so excited when she saw the kids before her running around.

Look closely she's making her way to second.

SHE DID IT...and was very proud of herself!
We had a great 4th and we hope you did to.
Thank you to all the servicemen and women, both past and present, that fought/fight for our freedom!
