Aly Comes to Visit

Meet Aly! This 8 weeks of pure cuteness is Stella's newest friend. Aly and her mom, Katy, were in town today and decided to visit. It was such a nice treat! This is my first time to meet Miss Aly and she is PRECIOUS!
When Aly and Katy first got here Stella was being shy, but then she started to check Aly out.

And by the end she was "helping" out. I know it looks like Aly is screaming in this picture, but she was actually smiling as Stella put her paci back in for her.
Thanks for the visit Katy and Aly---hope to see you again soon!

Bows and Toes

19 Months

I know this post is a couple days late, but as these pictures will show...we're VERY busy at 19 months.
Stella is very into her bows right now. She doesn't want to wear them out of the house, BUT she does love to show them off at home.

What do you think? Is she starting a new trend? HA!

When she's not busy playing dress up, she is tormenting, I mean loving on Diesel.

Ok, maybe it's tormenting. Diesel is so good with her!

She continues to work on her feeding skills. I think the bib says alot, but she is getting better and better each day.

But sometimes it's more fun to rub your food in your hair. Yes, we took a bath after dinner!

And oh my goodness, this girl LOVES to snack. Just last night she decided this was a fun way to eat her snack.

This went on for quite awhile. I don't know what triggered this fun. Maybe it's the puffs. She hasn't had puffs in months.

Stella is loving our shoes. My shoes are all over the house because Stella is in a phase. She thinks its so funny to put on our shoes and attempt to walk. I definately think Miss Thang is going to be all about dress up!
Stella continues to keep us laughing. She is talking up a storm and repeating everything. I was on the floor laughing the other day because she over heard me talking to Tom and repeated me saying Tom. She was calling him Tom instead of daddy. I thought it was funny...Tom did not. THEN the next day, out of nowhere she rounds the corner looking for me AND she was calling me SYD! WHAT!? She wasn't even repeating anyone because it was just her and me. Don't worry we're back to Mommy and Daddy, but it was funny (for a short minute).
Stella,
We love you baby girl and are so thankful for your fun personality. Thanks for the laughs!
We can't wait to see what you're up to this next month.

New Sippy

This picture kills me...where did my BABY go? Anyway, recently she has been quite fond of this sippy cup.
I don't know if it's the straw of the fact that it's a good chew toy for the molars breaking through, but she loves it.

I might need to buy more like this because this is the only one like it in our house.

Giving my knucks because she likes it so much! (I know she is TANNER than ME)

Please notice that the bow is no longer in her hair. I think it lasted 2 minutes. At least tried!

Lazy Day

Ok, so today wasn't really a lazy day...but Tom and Stella got to chill with each other while I worked at Race for the Cure EARLY this morning. THEN it was a nice relaxing day!
I don't have pictures of Stella at the race because the weather was pretty bad and she slept in.
BUT we did hit up Razorfest later this afternoon. It's a family friendly event for folks to enjoy before the big spring Hog scrimmage. This is our friend J...Stella loved watching the "big" kids play.

We weren't there long because the weather was kind of hit and miss, but Stella didn't know the difference.

As you can see she was having a blast!

Since it was such a soggy Saturday...Stella wanted to bust our her rainboots. They are still very big, but she LOVES them.

She LOVED stomping in the wet grass.

If only the boots blocked the wind too! :)

Hope you had a great Saturday!

I Forgot One

After our little fashion show the other day...I found this swimsuit I forgot was there.
So of course we had to try it on. Stella LOVED the two piece! She liked showing her belly (oh, dear) and the ruffles on her booty.

Reading Spot

Well, as you can see Stella LOVES her potty! BUT...
it seems like she'd rather read there than take care of "business."

Slowly but surely we'll get there, but I'm just happy she says potty and "tries" to go when she's sitting there.
Maybe the next potty post we'll have some more updates!!

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny...

Today Stella and I decided to have a little swimsuit fashion show. DON'T WORRY...I wasn't a model, ha! How cute are these suits? The pink and blue one are from Grammie and the other one and cover up are from a family friend I got at a shower when I was pregnant with Stella. I remember thinking it was huge and NOW it's time to wear it! Ok, on to the fashion show.
Please ignore the snotty nose and take in the cuteness!!!

Love the ruffles at the legs!!!!

Everyone needs polka dots~

I can't believe how tan Stella already looks in this cover up.
I'm sure we'll add to the collection over the warmer months, but we are ready to hit the pool. Well, I'd rather not shimmy into a swimsuit, but I AM excited for swim lessons this summer and taking Stella to the pool!

A Girl After My Own Heart

She might look like her daddy, but she wants to be like her mommy.
Stella had a blast getting some diet coke. She didn't get to drink any, but it was a fun game.

She had fun putting them back too, ha!

BREAKING NEWS:
Stella wanted to put rubberbands in her hair today! They didn't stay in long and I know they are VERY lopsided and the part is a mess, but we were just playing!

I promise if we were going somewhere I would've made this look better, but we were just playing. I still think it's super cute of course. Afterall, I always have my hair up. So maybe Miss Thang does have a tomboy side to her like her mommy!

Wordless Wednesday

Almost Wordless. ha!
One of Tom's best friends was in town this weekend, so we met up with Jon at Red Robin. It was so great seeing him. Next time we see him will be his WEDDING this summer! We can't wait Jon!

Potty Party

BIG GIRL POTTY!
Please notice that Stella is not wearing pants in this picture --- that's because she just WENT POTTY in her little potty. She is 18 1/2 months old. I don't know if it's going to be a regular thing just yet ,but it's a start.

After she went potty Stella helped Tom clean the potty and then put it back. She is VERY proud of her new potty.
Here's the story of why we have the potty.
Lately Stella has been showing some interest in the potty and it really hit home this weekend when she saw Deacon go potty when we were in Little Rock. So, we had to go to Babies R Us while we were there and I decided to grab a potty.
We set it up Sunday night. At first Stella just liked playing with it, but then she put it in the bathroom.
Well, today she was playing with Tom and said poo-poo and was pointing to her diaper. Tom took her to the potty and she WENT! We were so excited. I would show you the proof in the potty, but I don't want to gross you out!
I still can't believe it. I told Tom that I don't know if I'm ready to start the potty training phase of life yet. Ha! Public restrooms...no thanks!
But Stella is SO proud of herself. We had to run a quick errand this evening and she just kept talking abut the potty. She even said Geeken (aka Deacon) potty, so I'm convinced seeing him spiked her interest in the potty. Thanks Geeken!
Anyway, we'll see how this goes. Like I said I'm in no hurry, but at least we've introduced the potty.
