Does Anyone Remember Hyper Color Shirts?

I think this is a new version of hyper color shirts and Stella loves it.

Grammie and Papa bought her this shirt when they were in Arizona and as you can see it's white when you're inside...but

It changes to a VERY colorful shirt once your in the sun. Thank goodness it was nice enough weather to see a change these past couple days.

Remember me telling you about working a blog with my old station, well, the launch date is approaching, but you can go check it out now...we're still tweeking, but please take a look and let me know what you think!!!

I Think Someone Needs a Chair

Today we brought Stella's carseat in the house to adjust her straps since she is a big girl. Well, she LOVED having a chair that's her size in the living room.

She has been climbing in and out of it all evening. My parents want to get her a "kid" size chair, so think we're going to have to do that sooner rather than later.
So I need your advice...I have a couple friends who have chairs from Pottery Barn and love them. But Land of Nod also has little chairs. Do you know anyone that has one of these and do they like it? Also, what is your favorite design?

LAND OF NOD: TOILE

POTTERY BARN CHAIR: PINK POLKA DOT

POTTERY BARN: SUMMER STRIPE

Thanks in advance for your help. And Mom (Gaga) no pressure to get one now, I'm just doing some research!

Soaking in Some Vitamin D

It was nice enough to get outside and play today so we took advantage and ran around out back for awhile.

Dr. Nancy Snyderman from the Today show says it's good to go out in the sun and soak in some vitamin D without sunblock on during the evening hours, so we listened and played!

Stella was loving it because I bought her a new ball from Walmart.

When we had play group a couple weeks ago a couple of her balls went over the fence and we still haven't found them. She doesn't care --- she is loving her new purple ball.

We hope to soak in some more vitamin D later this week (don't worry, I also bought sunscreen today, so we'll be protected). It could flirt with the 80's this week! CRAZY.

Oh My Goodness, Someone LOVES the Easter Bunny

I've mentioned it before, Stella LOVES her bunny. But OH MY GOODNESS she absolutely fell in love the Easter bunny at our neighborhood get together. We were barely around the corner and she started shouting Bunny, Bunny, Bunny!!!!

Giving the bunny nucks.

Then she wouldn't leave the bunny alone. She followed him EVERYWHERE. Poor guy. If he turned his back she would YELL bunny.

Finally, she got him one on one and got a little bunny loving.

This girl never stops and poses for the camera...but since she was with bunny she was as happy as can be!

Stella did take a break from the bunny to hunt some eggs. Here she is making her plan of attack.

And she's off.

Stella loaded up on some eggs and even shared with her fellow hunters! It was fun, but as you can see it was windy and very chilly.
Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60's and 80's by the end of the week...go figure!

Chuck E Cheese

A few days ago Stella and I met our friends, Sara, Lilly & Reid and their friends Jenna and Brayden at Chuck E Cheese for a little bit. It was super fun, but as you can tell Miss Serious was not quite sure what to think of it all.

She loved this slide. She even got a little braver and went down on her belly.

I'm not sure what they're saying here, but I'm pretty sure Stella is "telling" Lilly how to go down the slide. I wish there wasn't a flash because Lilly was looking at her like I know all this, thank you.

Stella kept a close eye on the stage and when Chuck E Cheese started dancing and singing she had to check it out,but she wouldn't get too close.

I had to add this picture because she looks SO big. She was riding all by herself (of course the moms were VERY close). I know she looks so serious, but this girl likes to take in the area before she gets too comfie. I promise she had a good time. After she would do something she would say "yeah." And later that day she was talking all about it!

Thanks for the invite Lilly!

18 Months

This sweet face is 18 months old! I say it every month, but its hard to believe!!!! I don't know if I'll ever get used to it.

Here she is saying cheese to me. (sorry for the messy hair, but she mushed some mac n cheese in it at lunch and then took a nap:))

Laughing as I tickle her.

Playing.

And FINALLY the smile I was trying to get, but she likes to be right in FRONT of the camera when she poses!

18 month stats...

height: 32.4 inches almost 80 percentile
weight: 25.27 pounds almost 75 percentile

What Stella is up to...
EVERYTHING!
Sleeping from 8-7ish (we've had a few earlier mornings)
She says EVERYTHING...and is starting to repeat us!!!
She is still fond of boys...younger and older. She really loves to point out babies and is sweet to them
She LOVES the park and being outside (if only our weather would cooperate)
She is starting to really show an interest in SHOES (uh oh)...she loves trying shoes on and loves finding mine and putting them on.
She has also decided that she is best friends with our dog again and likes to get in his chair and take over.
She is starting to say mommy instead of mama and it MELTS my heart.

Ok, lets be honest everything this little squirt does melts my heart. Thank you Jesus for such an amazing gift. I don't deserve this little angel!

Happy 18 months Stella!

I Told You She's a Diva!

I've said it before, but this picture says it all! Little Miss Diva has her legs propped up, she's sporting her sunglasses, and has her daddy pushing her around. Life couldn't be better!

Please note the propped feet.

Happy Spring...Oh Wait!?!

Spring officially kicked off yesterday and Stella was all smiles...BUT...

Instead of playing outside at the park like earlier in the week this is what we are dealing with in northwest Arkansas. Snow! We expected a dusting to a couple inches.

Less than 24 hours later it's STILL coming down and Tom says we have about 8 inches! ugh. I love snow, but the calendar says SPRING.

So instead of wearing ALL of these cute spring dresses....

Stella is still sporting her winter clothes and stuck inside. Good thing this girl LOVES to read!

I forgot how messy the house can get when we're stuck inside all day since we've been at the park so much lately. But no worries, it's supposed to reach the mid-6os by Wednesday. CRAZY Arkansas weather!!!

Snow, Snow, Go away!

September 25, 2008

September 25, 2008 was a BIG day in my dad's life for a couple reasons!!
#1 reason: His first grandDAUGHTER was born at 6:31 pm.
#2 reason: His beloved Beavers BEAT USC!

So my dad had this VERY COOL collage made for Stella to mark the big day. It has a game day ticket stub, an article from the Oregonian, a picture of Stella's prints, and a picture of my parents with her. It is so special.

It came today (we were hoping it'd get here while they were visiting) and Stella LOVES it. She just keeps saying Papa and wants to carry it around. Which as you can see is a challenge.

If you look closely you can see that my dad was ready to cheer on the Beavers. He was decked in Oregon State gear and I guess his new lucky charm helped the Beavs win!

Thanks Papa/dad for the awesome present!

Playgroup and Sun!

Ok, so maybe I can be "fancy" Ha! We had playgroup this week at my house and I made these muffins(from scratch) for anyone that was hungry. Normally I'd mix up a bag, but I tried these last weekend and LOVED them. I normally don't have roses and cute napkins laying around (they were left over from a brunch we had last week). So yes, I guess I can be fancy, but usually it's after my mom visits and I copy her ideas. She is the queen at helping me do cute things...thanks mom.

Stella was ALL about the boys at playgroup. When she was playing inside she was right by Reid and talking to the "baby."

And then when she went outside...she was all about chasing the boys and trying to get their balls. I know this picture isn't very good, but I didn't take many because I was having too much fun talking with the moms and watching the kiddos. This is Stella trying to get the ball from her new friend, Diesel.

After a yummy lunch and nap, Stella and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head to the park. Stella insisted on wearing her hat so here is Miss Thang striking a pose.

Watching the other kids play while she climbs on and off the park bench.

And she might be just shy of 18 months, but she was bossing the other kids around. AND they were listening to her and laughing at her.
