Happy Memorial Day Fun

We have had such a great weekend. Tom doesn't get 3 day weekends often, so we took advantage of this nice weather and enjoyed our little family. Saturday, we headed to the gym so Tom and I could do hot yoga (he did really well) and then took Stella to the pool.
The little kiddy pool is perfect for her.

Jumping to daddy. But our fun didn't end at the pool. After a LONG nap (the pool can wear a girl out!) we headed to the ballpark where they were having family fun day in honor of Memorial day.

We took Stella over the bouncy toys and we weren't sure if she'd like it, but she wanted her shoes off asap and was up the ladder to the slide, BUT...

when she got to the top she wasn't quite sure what she got herself into. ha!

After a couple of minutes of the big kids running around her and trampoling her so they could go down the slide she figured she better take a seat and try this slide out.

Here she goes. I can't believe she is getting old enough to do this stuff on her own. Tear.

Stella was very proud of herself.

Then we walked around the park. I think she is sick of me taking her picture here, but I had to show you her HUGE balloon.

Cooling off in the mister with daddy is so fun!

Stella playing with her friend Lilly at the parks playground. they went up and down up and down up and down the stairs and slide...super cute.

We ended the night with an INCREDIBLE fireworks show. We even got to sit on the baseball field. It really was a great show and Stella liked it. There were a couple times we covered her ears because it was extra loud, but she kept imitating Tom by saying ooooh and ahhhh. Obviously, I played photographer all weekend since I didn't make it in a single shot, but I had fun!

We hope you've all had a nice holiday weekend. Thank you to those of you who serve, have served or plan to serve our country! And thanks to the families who support them while they do a job well done!

Finally!

After months...
of hinting...

and showing...

and getting dirty...

WE FINALLY ORDERED STELLA HER OWN CHAIR!

SHE IS IN LOVE!

She was so giddy she really didn't know what to do!

I think this is where you will find Miss Stella from here on out. When she was going to bed she kissed Tom goodnight and then said "bye chair." SO CUTE.

Babies, Sick and Panties...Oh My

Today I snuck away to help shower this pretty lady, Lisa, as she is expecting her second in June. This is her first, Trenton, and Trevor will make his appearance soon! Stella LOVES Trenton.

Isn't this cake SOO cute. Yes, it's from Rick's Bakery for all you locals.

Lisa's mom made this bedskirt (all the bedding really) and I just loved Lisa's reaction.
This is one of many showers to come---everyone around me is pregnant! EVERYONE!

When I got home Stella wasn't acting her normal self so I took her temperature and you betcha...she is running a low grade temp. All she wanted to do was watch Yo Gabba Gabba.

Poor thing. I tried to play with her little people, dolls, read, BUT it was Yo Gabba Gabba all the way. We really knew she didn't feel good because she found a cup of Tom's water and tried to take a sip and spilt ALL over her and burst into tears and would NOT stop crying. If you know Stella, then you know she would normally just crack up. Poor thing!
But don't worry...

after a quick outfit change Stella found a surprise I bought for her at Walmart. BIG GIRL PANTIES! Here she is showing them all off.

Sorting her panties. She still shows a little interest (ok, very little lately) in the potty, but I saw these and decided why not. Yes, they have Elmo on them and she LOVES them! I can't believe I've already bought panties for my BABY! Where has the time gone?
I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I was hoping we might hit the pool but I think we'll take it easy since Miss Thang is not 100%.

Rhododendron Garden...AMAZING

This is my last Oregon post, but it's a beauty! My mom tells me I went to the Rhododrendron Gardens a couple times when I was in preschool, but I do not remember it so this trip was such a sweet surprise. It is B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L! The pictures speak for themselves, but you live in the area you need to check it out. It was so peaceful and Stella LOVED running aruond and seeing all the ducks and geese.

running back and forth!

Checking out the flowers.

LOVE this picture of my mom and Stella.

Checking out the geese with Papa.

Playing in all the bushes.

Taking a break and bossing the duck around.
